When an organisation asks to use your information, you see who is asking, what information is involved, why it is needed and for how long. You can say yes or no from your phone, and your receipt stays with the request.

See
The whole ask, before you answer any of it
Who is asking, what they want, what they want it for, and how long they want it. Not a checkbox at the bottom of a page you were trying to get past, and easy to find rather than buried deep in another document.
Decide
Yes or no, and no is a real answer
You answer from your phone, confirmed with your passkey, so the answer is provably yours. Declining is one tap and it does not cost you the rest of the service you were signing up for.

The receipt outlives the conversation
Your answer is sealed into a receipt that says what you agreed to, when, and what for. You can still produce it in two years, when the person you spoke to has left and the company has changed its system twice.

- What the ask must carry
- Who is asking, what for, on what basis, for how long, and whether it is once or standing.
- How you answer
- Yes or no, from your own phone, confirmed with your passkey.
- What you keep
- A sealed receipt of your answer, in your Keepable, downloadable as a PDF.

- What has to be in the ask before I see it?
- Who is asking, what information, what they want it for, how long they want it, and whether they are asking for one use or for standing permission until you stop it. Those last two are different things and the ask has to say which, because a record that cannot tell them apart is not evidence of either.
- What if consent is not the appropriate lawful basis?
- If a company uses your information because the law requires it, the item arrives as a notice explaining what is being done and why, not as a consent question. Only a genuine choice is presented for a yes or no.
- What is in the receipt I keep?
- The whole ask and your answer, in a standard format regulators and other systems can read rather than in the company's prose. It is worked out from the sealed record each time rather than stored as a document, so your copy and theirs cannot drift apart. Read it in the app or take it as a PDF.
- Can I withdraw a permission here?
- Keepable records the request and your answer, but it cannot stop a process inside the company's own systems. The receipt names the company, shows what you agreed to, and includes its withdrawal route where one was provided.
- Does saying no cost me the service?
- Not on our side. Declining is one tap, it is recorded and sealed exactly as a yes is. What the company does next is its responsibility, and your receipt keeps the decision and the original request together.
- Will I be able to produce this in two years?
- That is the point of it. It sits in your Keepable, it does not expire, and it does not depend on the person you spoke to still working there or on the company still running the same system.

Keepable is where you are asked and where the answer is kept. It is not a switch that reaches into a company and pulls your information back out again. If you say no, they do not get it from us. If you said yes last year and want to change that, your receipt tells you exactly who to go to and exactly what you agreed to.
